Deb Boyden

Head of US Defined Contribution

Joel is the Head of Intermediary Distribution and is responsible for the strategic direction and management across various channels, including Sub-Advisory Sales, Defined Contribution, Insurance and the US Wealth Management Solutions team. Previously, Joel was the Head of US Defined Contribution and Insurance Sales at Schroders. He oversaw Schroders’ Sub-Advisory and Insurance businesses as well as managed business development of the firm’s Defined Contribution segment.  

Prior to Schroders, Joel was Vice President & Director at Janus Henderson Investors where he was responsible for overseeing sales and clients services for insurance and defined contribution clients. He was a senior relationship manager at Columbia Threadneedle Investments responsible for building and maintaining relationships with retirement platform record keepers and insurance companies in the US. And prior to Columbia, Joel served as Director of Platform Relationships at Lord Abbett & Co.

Joel has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from UCLA and has been a member of the investment community since 1982.

He holds his CIMA® designation and Series 7, 3, 24 and 63 licenses.

Deb Boyden is Head of US Defined Contribution at Schroders.

In her role, she is responsible for leading the strategy, development and execution of defined contribution clients and products as well as overseeing the firm’s West Coast presence. She joined Schroders in 2019 and is based in Oakland, CA. 

Prior to Schroders, Deb was Senior Vice President at Lazard Asset Management where she was responsible for Defined Contribution National Accounts in the Western US. She spent 13 years at BlackRock responsible for various defined contribution products and building relationships with retirement platform recordkeepers in the Western US. Prior to BlackRock, Deb served as a Vice President at Morningstar and Principal at State Street Global Advisors.

Deb has a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from George Washington University and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of San Francisco.

She holds her Series 7 and 63 licenses.
