Active Ownership

Voting is one of the key ways in which we can communicate our views and positively influence how a company is run. Whilst we normally expect to vote in support of management, we will always use our voting powers to vote in the best interest of our clients, even if it means voting against management.

We vote on a variety of resolutions issues; however the majority target specific corporate governance issues which are required under local stock exchange listing requirements, these include issues such as approval of directors and accepting reports and accounts. We do vote on both shareholder and management resolutions.

Important information:
What are the risks? Past performance is not a guide to future performance and may not be repeated. The value of investments and the income from them may go down as well as up and investors may not get back the amounts originally invested. Exchange rate changes may cause the value of any overseas investments to rise or fall.
