Schroders’ infrastructure equity fund takes significant stake in key German motorway

The core equity infrastructure fund managed by Schroder Aida, a regulated Alternative Investment Fund Manager (AIFM) company of Schroders specialised in infrastructure finance, has acquired InfraVia and Egis' shares in Autobahnplus A8 GmbH, the concession holder of the A8 motorway in Germany.

The closing of the transaction is subject to the approval of the German Antitrust Authority and of the Highway Authority of Bavaria.

Schroder Aida manages and advises nearly €2 billion* of assets, including approximately €700 million* of equity investments though segregated mandates, offering a wide range of long-term investment solutions in the infrastructure asset class to institutional investors.

Schroders Private Assets and Alternatives business, a strategic growth area for the firm, manages £39.3 billion* in assets, including private equity, hedge funds, infrastructure finance, insurance-linked securities, commodities, real estate and securitised credit.

InfraVia was advised in this transaction by KPMG (M&A) and Hogan Lovells (law firm). Schroder Aida was advised by Orrick Herrington & Suttcliffe (legal), Intraplan (traffic) and Deloitte (financial).
